Comfortable Cat Suite
Our cat room is air conditioned and filled with toys, a scratcher, and mini trees. A wall is customized with cat steps and cubbies for their enjoyment.
Flea Prevention
FLEA PREVENTION IS MANDATORY YEAR ROUND, NO exceptions to this policy. Fleas can survive indoors, even in the winter. Fleas are preventable by using an effective flea control product.
Medical Record
Prior to checking in, all owners are required to provide a current copy of their cat's vaccinations record.
Mandatory vaccinations: FVRCP (Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus, Panleukopenia) and a fecal examination.
Some veterinarians do not recommend a particular vaccine for cats. If that's the case for your cat, we require a written and signed statement from your veterinarian confirming absence of disease and a confirmation of the recommendation. Please submit a current and valid statement to us before bringing your pet to our facility. If you do not have a copy of your pet's record, please contact your veterinarian to email the current vaccination record to barksandpurrs2018@gmail.com .
Only spayed or neutered cats over 6 months old are accepted.
What We Provide
Food and Water Bowls / Plush Cat Beds / Private Litter Box. We have wall planks for your pet to climb into wall mounted beds.
What You Need To Provide
Your cat’s diet is very important. We suggest that you supply foods that your cat is accustomed to eating and please no last-minute shopping for foods your cat has never tried. A sudden change in diet can lead to intestinal problems and your cat will not eat their new food. Should your cat's food run out before pickup, we will provide our house cat food for their meals at an additional fee per day.
Please provide your cats littler, there are 8 or more different typs of litter, so we ask our cat parents to provide your cats favorite type.
Feel free to bring your cat's favorite toy or something that smells like you to make him or her feel more comfortable.
Cat's comfort and safety is utmost important.
For the safety of all of our feline guests, we cannot accept cats that have incontinence, severe lack of mobility, epilepsy, fractious, or diabetes. If your cat is difficult to handle, we strongly recommend you look into kennel boarding. If you have a cat that is older, ill or disabled, please consider boarding with your veterinarian. Our room is one large open area and all cats must be able to associate with one another.
Drop-off and Pick-up
We accept drop-offs and pick-ups by appointment only. All cats must arrive and depart in a safe and secured carrier.
Boarders are not accepted or released on Sundays and Holiday Closure Dates.
